Get your car sticker: | Another Traffic Incident in Slane We have recieved a report that there has been another traffic incident in Slane. This occurred at about 6pm on Monday 15th February in the northbound lane on the Mill Hill. Four cars were involved which were travelling northwards up the hill from the bridge towards the Square. There was a line of traffic at the top of the hill stopped at the traffic lights and a white van rear-ended the last car in the queue which caused a shunting effect. A young child was transferred to hospital but was later released without injury. The Ambulance Service and the Gardaí were in attendance. None of those involved were from the Slane area. This clearly shows that despite recent traffic calming measures a very real threat to our community and other users of the N2 still exists. This is yet another incident to add to the list highlighting the urgent need for the construction of the bypass. If you witness any traffic incidents we encourage you to please report them to the Gardaí in the first instance where required but also to let us know about them on our TRAFFICWATCH page. |
