Slane Area councillors were informed by a Meath County Council official that a ban on HGVs could have huge financial consequences for the Council in terms of possible exposure to legal claims, delays to deliveries and business frustration. This is in spite of the most recent traffic survey figures, commissioned by Meath County Council, revealing that 1,600 trucks a day pass through Slane village. Report in Drogheda Independent. Report in Irish Times. Report in Meath Chronicle. |
